Brenlee Mogul-RotmanBrenlee Mogul-Rotman, OT Reg.(Ont.), ATP/SMS is an occupational therapist and is the National Clinical & Technical Education Manager for Permobil in Canada. She has educated thousands of people in the mobility industry during her career - from students to dealers to clinicians and end users. She has also been an active advocate for clients and for maintaining high industry standards. Brenlee was in the first group of ADP authorizers in 1987 and in within a small group in Canada that carry the RESNA ATP and SMS credentials. Brenlee joined Permobil in 2016 and prior to this time, owned a private practice in the Toronto area. As a practicing clinician, Brenlee was sought after for her opinions and thoughts on products in development and ideas for best practice in applying product features to clinical practice. She continues to be a well-known industry leader and maintains the importance of client-focused care, use of Best Practices, and evidence-based knowledge. Brenlee is a manager and mentor to four Permobil Educators in Canada and the US, and acts as a clinical resource to consumers, clinicians and vendors across the country. Brenlee has presented at major industry conferences including CSMC, ISS, RESNA, and Medtrade and is regularly requested to present and/or join on panel discussions with other industry leaders. 

This annual award seeks to recognize one of the many women in the HME industry who has made increasingly significant contributions throughout her career to her company, community, and the home medical equipment or mobility industry. The announcement was made on Tuesday, Sept. 10 from 8:30 - 9 a.m. at the Canadian Seating & Mobility Conference (CSMC)

Stacey Burnett

Regional Manager, Motion Specialties

Stacey BurnettStacey Burnett is the Regional Manager of Motion Toronto where she oversees sales, service, and operation of Motion's largest location. Stacey began her career in the home health care industry over 20 years ago holding positions in Administration, Sales, and Sales Management. 
As a dedicated people leader her focus is on cultural transformation, team engagement and individual development. In 2023 she was a recipient of Motion's National Leadership Excellence Award. She has been an active member in Motion's Women in Leadership group participating in mentorship programs, events, and book clubs. Passionate about education, Stacey and her Team have been proud to support the Occupational Therapy students at the University of Toronto with bi-annual education sessions for three consecutive years. Invested in her personal development, Stacey completed the Advantage Ontario Administrator Leadership Program as well as maintaining her NRRTS certification as a Registered Rehab Technology Supplier. Committed to Motion's clients and community she has participated in several events supporting PowerHockey Canada, Unity Health, and SCIO as well as various fundraisers such as those in support of Bloorview Capes for Kids.

Tammy McDowell

RRTS, Home Health Care Manager, Boggio Family of Pharmacies

Tammy McDowellWith over 15 years experience in the industry, Tammy McDowell is the Home Health Care Manager at Boggio Family of Pharmacies in beautiful Niagara Region. She guides a dynamic team in providing quality product and service solutions, delivered with compassion and integrity. Tammy is a member of Connecting Care Niagara, Port Colborne Seniors Advisory Committee, Seniors Services Networking Group, and enjoys volunteering. The proud mother of two exceptional young women, Tammy often spends her free time puttering in the garden with a podcast and a cup of tea.

Shelly McGrath

Shelley McGrath is the National Sales Manager for Etac North American Mobility managing the brands of Ki Mobility, R82, Convaid, and Star in the Canadian market. With over 30 years in the industry, Shelley has occupied roles on the dealer and manufacturer side of the business working closely with clinicians to create client focused solutions. Shelley joined Ki Mobility in 2014 after occupying roles in sales and clinical education and now enjoys leading a team of dedicated individuals showcasing innovative products to the complex medical rehab market.

 

CINDY WICKENS

Cindy Wickens is a Partner of Xperience Home Healthcare, Fire Captain at Lakeshore FD, and Foster Mother of two. All of these continue to be a focus in her, life as well as spouse to Ken and parent to adult children Jessica and Jacob. Cindy was the first honoree of the Canadian HME Woman of the Year Award in 2022.

 

JANICE EDWARDS

Janice Edwards brings over three decades of experience in the healthcare industry to her role as Business Development Manager at Harding Medical. Outside of work, Janice is a proud mother to two daughters, one an Occupational Therapist and the other in her final year in the RN accelerated program at St. FX. Residing on the picturesque Isle Madame in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Janice finds inspiration for both her personal and professional pursuits, enjoying outdoor activities like kayaking, cycling, snowmobiling, hiking, skiing and snowshoeing.

JEREMY SMITH 

Jeremy Smith is part owner of Premium Mobility Products in the lovely Okanagan valley in southern BC. This year, he is celebrating 25 amazing years in the DME industry. He is very much enjoying his new adventure being a recent addition to the team at Premium Mobility a fast-growing company dedicated to providing our clients the best possible service and quality products. Jeremy is a proud husband and father of two beautiful young women. When he's not out watching them play volleyball on the weekends, he tries to get to the cottage for some fishing and ATV riding.
